Cup of Cocoa on a wet day

The first photo shows none of the dimension of the card, so I tried to take a side version to show the parts of the card that are popped up.

This is for the challenge on Stampin' Sisters in Christ for a card of encouragement, thinking of you or praying for you. Just Because from PTI's Damask Designs set just fit the space, so I chose that.

This is the layout this week on Priscilla Styles Midnight Madness sketch challenge as well, cool sketch, although I had to scrounge around for a pin that fit. Because of the color scheme and theme of the card I didn't want to put any beads on the pin, so I glued on some buttons instead.

I wanted to use this stamp particularly after seeing Priscilla's card because we are having cocoa weather, so she inspired me to make a cocoa theme as well. And I never had any intention of popping up any elements of the card, until a gold pen I was using to mark dots on the cup leaked a huge gold splotch all over the cup. The rest of it was all colored, what to do? Cut and color another cup and then the cocoa label as well to balance things out.

This is mainly painted with WWC except for the silver on the cocoa tin, I used a silver pencil for that and you can see a bit of shimmer when you look at the card in person. Papers are SU, buttons are PTI, ribbon was a scrap I found in a drawer. I also chose the nestability shape for the main image because it reminds me a bit of the shape of a Hershey's cocoa can. :) Thanks for looking.

Peggysue, I love these lil mice, and your colors are so soothing and sweet with the image! This is one of those cards I would like to see in person...I know what you mean about the dimension in non-dimensional blogland!
I have those stick pins and never remember to use them. Thanks for the inspiration to stamp...just not feeling it lately! :)
