CPS264 Birthdays with Paper Cupcakes

Happy Thankful Thursday! I am thankful I have friends and this month I have a LOT of friends with birthdays! (Most of them are going to get a late card, sorry!)

And I am excited to announce that for the month of May I am a guest designer at Paper Cupcakes! It is very hard to choose which cupcake image (or any of the cute images) to choose from, but I selected this waffle cupcake, as kind of a combination of waffle cone (my kids' favorite, all four of them!) and cupcake. I also wanted to make one chocolate, and one vanilla and practice my coloring skills using prismacolor pencils and copics.

The top one uses prismacolors and the bottom copics. I haven't master the brown family in copics yet and wasn't brave enough to try a chocolate cupcake with my markers!

The CPS sketch this week provided a great springboard for inspiration. Thanks for looking!

Paper: Doodlebug Designs, SU, PTI for card base
Ink: Black Memento for sentiments
Other: pearls, ribbon, spellbinders die
