Magenta Angel for Spring

This is my composition for the CPS104 challenge.  I hadn't heard of this website before seeing the mention on Nichole Heady's blog. It seems like a sketch challenge site called Card Positioning Systems. 

This week's challenge is being sponsored by Papertrey Ink and I did use Papertrey White cardstock, that stuff is so sturdy. However, I chose this Magenta stamp that I ordered before Christmas. I just liked the sweet expression on her face and the detail. This isn't a Christmas card by any means, but I think it works in pink.  I'm ready for a little color after all of the snow!

How I did it: First I stamped the image in gold craft and embossed because I wanted the framing to stand out. I then stamped the image in Pirouette Pink, for a soft background that would match my background color palette. Then I stamped it again in Vintage Photo ink, cut out the central image of the angel and put together my layers. She is lightly colored with an aquapainter and Stampin Up watercolor wonder crayons, then I applied glitter to her wings. 

The large background panel is stamped in Pirouette Pink on pink with the Belle Toile SU background stamp, then I stamped the image again on vellum with white craft ink and layered them slightly offset so you see both the pink below and the white image. The sentiment also is stamped with Belle Toile in pink on white with the sentiment overstamped in stazon black. I used an Autumn Leave set "On the Edge" for the little gilt border to help balance the card. Thanks for looking.
