For your chance to win BLOG CANDY, (a set that will be released NEXT month), visit and comment on each of the following design team members' blogs on July 13, 14, 15, and 16, 20101, 2010. On Saturday, (July 17, 2010), a winner will be chosen FOR EACH DAY from those participants who visited all the blogs listed for that day. (There will be four different winners, one winner for each day.)

SO THAT MEANS IF YOU MISSED A DAY, YOU STILL HAVE OTHER CHANCES WIN! And, you can go back and comment, as the winners will be chosen Saturday morning!

Today's introduction is Background Fun. There are so many things you can do with this set. I cannot decide if I like the crackle or the basket weave better, and seriously in the past I wouldn't have been fond of the crackle but the cowboy set we're highlighting later this week? Oh my! I fell in love with it! Here are my two creations. The one with the flowers is highlighting the basket weave stamp in versamark on gray, so it is very subtle and might be hard to see.

This card is supposed to mimic what I imagine a framed photo might look like on a papered wall in the Old West, or in a scrapbook page.

This card highlights the different looks you can get when you use vintage photo ink on kraft . . . while the card above has, I hope, a distinctly western or more vintage feel, this one is supposed to reflect a picnic, with the basket, the tablecloth and white lace.

Here is the hop order. The final stop will take you to the Mark's Finest Papers store front. Have fun hopping!

Beautiful use of these backgrounds! I love the first card with the subtle basketweave. It softly accents those gorgeous flowers perfectly. The old west is alive and well in #2 and of course the last card is a summer delight with the picnic theme!
