In the card above I was going for a journal/sketchbook type of thing. I used some twinkling H20s on my project and I think it made it too dark, I would have been better off leaving it alone!

No you did the right thing. This looks like it came out of Grandma's trunk in the attic. It has that delightful vintage patina you might find on an old sachet packet....oh I just love it. It superb!
