CAS Sunflowers

Two for two! Two cards in two days, I don't think I've made two cards the past two months. Keeping it cleaner and more CAS works better for my schedule I think!
I like this sunflower set, pretty much anything with sunflowers. Used a very simple layout.
Stamped with SU Barely Banana on PTI Lemon Tart cardstock and then went over some of the petals for highlighting with a Y38 copic marker. The sunflower centers are Ranger Vintage Photo stamped on kraft cardstock, leaves are SU Kiwi Kiss on a random scrap of green. Sentiment is from a set by MFP. Thanks for looking!

CAS anniversary

Needed a quick anniversary card and with the rate I'm stamping at lately (infrequent) quick is best!
Received this adorable set as a present from Crafty Mathchick and just now getting a chance to pull it out. Thank you Meredith! Love the little robots.
I thought the circular pattern on the embossing strip matched his eyes and the little strip of ricrac ribbon matches the color in the basket holding the hearts, in case that isn't clear in the photo. Used a combination of prismacolor pencils, markers and a gel pen to color in the image. Popped it up on foam dots to add a bit of interest.
The hearts are to symbolized anniversary, a marriage between two people and the rhinestone is there to hid a defect in the pink cardstock! Gotta love mistakes, they are nothing but embellishment opportunities.
Found CASual Fridays challenge blog so I offset the hearts to hang off the side of the page a bit to fit their challenge this week, I like the effect. (CFC106) Hearts were cut using PTI heart dies. Thanks for looking!

CAS Puppy

Been waiting an age to use this stamp set. Now don't look at her leg, I was using a prismacolor pencil over my markers to help define the edges a bit and of course there was some black on the peach and now it looks like she's cut herself.
Anyway, thanks for looking.

And One More....CAS Cups

And one more based on the color challenge #6 at PTI. This card uses PTI white cardstock, fabulous stuff! And a sentiment from the Tiny Treats: Valentines set.

I've had that little cup image from Stampin' Up for an age and a half and have never pulled it out to use it. Had fun coloring it in with Hawaiian Shores, raspberry, orange, summer sunrise and new leaf marker matches.
The heart is a blank from the Martha Stewart edge punch, in raspberry PTI paper. And I did put a little shadow underneath the cups so they're not quite 'floating' in real life. Took all of ten minutes. And I had to make myself put it down because I kept wanting to add something else. Mistake! It was time to stop.

And now time for bed. Work comes early! Thanks for looking.

PTI color challenge/6th Anniversary

Found time to stamp again, yay! I do enjoy the little craft windows I'm able to carve into the week. Normally it is sock knitting when in the car...they're so portable! I have a nice, thick, warm pair I want to get finished before the temperatures drop this coming weekend, brrrr!!!

Papertrey Ink is having a series of challenges for their anniversary celebration and I am in need of some color as winter seems determined to never end. For this challenge, color combination choice #6, you had to combine five colors; raspberry, orange, summer sun, hawaiian shores and new leaf. For some reason my summer sun looks all washed out in this photo, but it is a nice golden yellow IRL in the button row.  I thought the lamp needed a little something to balance it out, so I added a pull chain and the bottom part of the 'pull' is a rhinestone.

First time I've had a chance to break out this set and use it. I like the little lamp images! Thanks for looking!

Snowy here, how about you? CCC post

It has been months, literally since I've been able to participate in the Christmas Card swap a few friends and I formed. So sorry about that, found a new job so income, yay! Zero free time, boo! This was a cute set of items Misti mailed out, as were all the other kits and my next goal is to use them and post them at a later date, but this one I squeaked in on time.

Misti sent the snowman image, the sparkly snowflake you see in the corner and the pretty coordinated papers. The paper had a vanilla or cream background and the snowman was white so I colored him in with a very light W3 (I think) copic marker so he wouldn't be in too much contrast with the paper colors.

Brrr! is how I feel lately--we had five inches of snow last night--but it can be pretty and images like this one help us celebrate winter. :) Thanks for looking. I will go back in and give linkies for all the other Christmas Card Club members.
