My husband often makes things for me as gifts and he likes to work with wood, so I used the woodgrain impression plate with the heart in the center as symbolic of the way folks used to carve their initials and a heart in a tree to record their love for each other.

PTI Blog Hop January 2017
Welcome! Thanks for stopping by! I want to make sure I have a Valentine's card made for my husband and the colors and challenge at PTI helped inspire the design while I used the technique Lizzie demonstrated for the Make it Monday challenge.
My husband often makes things for me as gifts and he likes to work with wood, so I used the woodgrain impression plate with the heart in the center as symbolic of the way folks used to carve their initials and a heart in a tree to record their love for each other.
The heart is the middle size from the heart die set at PTI and is small enough to spin within a simple shadowbox card. I took a photo from the top down to show the inside. My circles are a bit messy; some of my dies still live in another state so I had to cut them by hand, but I'm slowly being reunited with my crafty things. Thanks for looking and have a great hop! I have work to finish but look forward to hopping later tonight to see all of the inspired creations out there from so many talented stampers.
