This card fits two challenges, one on Karolyn's blog for the Twisted Thursday challenge for Shirley's 2 Girls. Its a sketch challenge with a twist, you follow the sketch and the additional challenge instruction and this week it was to add dimension. Also, my Traveling Dork sisters have started a blog with a challenge and our first was to create a card that reminds us of Spring, flowers or May Day. This is such a cheerful little stamp, it actually is the stamp I won from the Twisted Thursday challenge a few weeks ago! And it really shouts Spring!
I stamped the image twice so I could cut out and pop up the star, the birdhouse, the tulips and the little saying, so it pulls the image beyond the oval into the card beyond it. Did my best matching colors on the DP. And the little black bugs on the bottom are from a new EK Success punch I bought at Mike's a few weeks ago. (honestly I had no other ideas for the squares at the bottom of the sketch, I hope these work) Thanks for looking.

PeggySue.. I love how this came out! It's a great sketch and I love the soft pretty colors! When I was growing up in Mass. we used to do May baskets on May day but no one seems to do that any more... but this card makes me smile... springy and pretty! BTW... please let me know when it's my turn to do the challenge on Ocean's 11... I'm lost now~ LOL!

This is beautiful. I love what you did with that image and with the sketch. This color combo is very soft and really does capture May Day amazingly. Nicely done and good Luck. I just uploaded a new slide show with photos capturing MAY DAY here in Sicily
